Me at Day 84
Me at Day 84
Hello all, Just wanted to say hello and give an update.
I'm now 84 days sober of alcohol. I can't believe that I'm almost to 3 months. It has been a crazy life changing experience. Around the 2 and half month mark I was really spacey and out of it. It lasted about a week. I read that around 6 to 10 weeks is when the chemicals in your brain balance back out. That was a bad feeling week. I'm now starting to feel way better.
I also have been getting out of the house way more and riding in a car again. Taking it one day at a time. When anxiety and panic creep up on me I do my best to stay in control of my body. You have to remind yourself that your fine and it's just your mind messing with you. Never do like me and let anxiety keep you in the house. Getting out will make you feel way better. Exercise is great and very helpful. I just started realizing all of this in the last 2 weeks.
Tomorrow my wife and I are starting an all Fruit and Veggie juice diet. Saw it on a movie called Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, very interesting movie. Time to start eating better and make more changes to improve my life.
That's all I have to say for now. Thanks for listening.

Hey congrats man! I think it's cool our sobriety dates are so close It's the little things. Amen on the diet too. Gotta change mind eventually but that seems like too large of a step right now. Still going through the motions.
Oh and glad to hear your anxiety has lessened!

@grateful101010 Yeah my favorite is the green machine. It's keel, cucumber, apple, celery, ginger, and lemon I think. It's very good. Just takes a while to get use to.
@Simplex Yeah I'm trying to take things slow. I try'd the diet for 2 days before and now feel like I can do it longer. And for the anxiety it comes and goes. I feel like I'm getting better at controlling it. Today when I got in my car I felt panic coming on. I use to jump out and run in the house and my day would be shot. But today I sgot out for a second and told my self that everything is fine and calmed myself. Got back in and was fine. I hope to keep it that way.

Awesome, slimm. Congrats!
I totally know what you mean about positive self talk and recognizing when your emotions are creeping up on you that they're just emotions. This has helped me out a lot.
