socks on the floor

I have 30 paired up socks and a floor full of unmatched pairs. Every time I hadn't done laundry, I'd buy new socks. When my drinking became a daily thing, my socks ended up in a basket. Now I'm equating these to missed moments...

When I have the pairs matched (that I can match), the others will be recycled into rags for cleaning...

It's a sad sight, all of these lonely socks. Today, I am grateful I Can match them, reuse the singles, and move on in sobriety. 113 days. I never thought I could match my socks again!

Did I mention my phone bothers me?

We have that at my house too, it's called the "sock abyss."

Drunk or sober I still can't manage to get through it.

I'm done! Do I need two drawers full of socks? Maybe some can go to the Salvation Army piles!
Some were my step kids' socks...I got through it. (I live alone now)

I can get in my closet now, too!
