The progression is undeniable. I drank beer in my 20's and wine in my 30's began adding Vodka to the mix in my 40's. At 50 admitted I was powerless over alcohol and the history proves it. I used to say I went to the Vodka Islands when I would drink it. As I would have a blackout the entire weekend. Stay in bed, waking and drinking. Its was awful... It became the tool that worked as my body built a tolerance. No great insights just a reminder that to me that Vodka is sneaky and it sucks.
Welcome Gottachng!
I made the decision to quit so many times before it stuck. In the end it came down to making a plan and following it. Like the saying goes, those who fail to plan plan to fail.
I'm so glad you found this board, this has been a tremendous source of support for me and I'm sure you'll find the same.
