Hi
Hi
Hi, I just joined the group and wanted to say hi. I once was sober for 12 years and went back out for about five. Now I'm struggling with getting (staying) sober again. I really can't do anything in moderation so get ready for ten billion posts from me on this board
Thanks for a great site.

Thanks for a great site.
backbeat - Love your name. It's great to have you here with us.
I got sober once for 3 yrs. & back out for 7, so I get you. I picked up again for no good reason, and when I did it was so much worse than before. I don't think I really got it that I couldn't touch the stuff ever again - thanks to SR I'm finally enlightened.
Glad you've made the decision to live life sober once again. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome, glad you are here. I was sober for 5 1/2 years and went back out. After going back out it was an on again, off again struggle to stay sober. For the first time I've tried AA and I've been sober for awhile now.
Glad to have you with us, backbeat!
I think it does get a little harder to stop each time we go back to drinking (it certainly was that way for me). This forum gave me the daily support I needed to finally get a grip on it and get sober.
Take it one day at a time and remember: it gets better.....
