6 months today
Hi everyone, I would just like to say that today is my 6 month of sobriety. Half a year ago, on this day, I was signing up for SR. I had just come back from a trip to Mexico, that I remembered about half of. I remember the feeling I had that night- hopelessness, disgust, and sadness. Today I am still battling some of those feelings, but for different reasons. I am no longer hiding behind the mask of alcohol, but am living in the 'real world' which is a scary, eye-opening thing. I realize that, after drinking for 6 years, I had no idea who I was. So 6 months into the journey, I still don't have an answer for who I am. But I know exactly who I don't want to be.
