Kelly, generalized anxiety has been an issue for me since childhood.
I do a lot to try to keep balance in my life because I find that's really important. Saying 'No' has been really helpful for me too, so that I don't get caught up in trying to do everything. When I'm having a bad day, I try to keep focusing inward and reminding myself to not get caught up in whatever is going on around me.
Talking to your dr can help too.

Try this breathing exercises while walking at a steady pace.you can do this walking in place in your living room.Just breathe in slowly to the count of ten.Make sure the air goes all the way to the bottom of your lungs.Now exhale again to the count of ten making sure you empty your lungs comlpetely,try this in sets of five and in a few days you'll be amazed how much more oxygen your lungs can process ,and it is a cert to bring down your blood pressurein a hurry
