Being sober is great. Getting a clear picture of your stupidity is not.
About 4 years ago I was investing in Silver. I quit to blow money on my addictions and the activities that supported them.
At the time I was buying silver for $10-$16/ounce, while $20/day on beer was OK in my mind.
Calculating the costs of alcohol with appreciation in the silver market, the last 4 years of booze cost me $64,240. I'd have that amount tucked away in my safe rather than in the recycling yard!
