Hello to all new and old friends...
Hello to all new and old friends...
I haven't posted here in awhile.
I am going to utilize this site more often. I have such an amazing support system now, that I just want to add more and more to it.
I'll be sober one year in October and I cannot wait! It's been a long road, but I have learned so much about myself and my personality, it's unbelievable.
My life gets fuller and fuller each day.
It may be hard to see now, but it DOES get better if you have patience and give it time..
so HI!!!

Thank youuu for the warm welcome back!
It's been quite a journey so far. This is my second time around.
My first time around, I lasted about 3 months. It feels great to have 10 months under my belt.
The things I've learned in recovery are priceless. I have an AMAZING therapist, that to me that is one of the most important elements of a great recovery. I also spent 6 months in intense outpatient therapy. The therapists there were wonderful also.
Intense therapy is so important (in my recovery). I've been to some AA meetings, but being a young female I have to watch out for some of the lurking predators. I usually like going to women's meetings' better.
If anyone wants to chat more or wants some extra support, please feel free to message me.
XOXO

Congrats on such progress! I too am at a young age trying to move ahead and get sober without the alcohol. Sometimes when I look around I feel like I am the youngest one trying to do this, and sometimes it gets to me (hard to explain). But then I tell myself that if I keep going for another 6, 7, or 10 years like this, then Lord knows how I'll end up. I know that once I get a good deal of sobriety under my belt, things like that will not bother me as much, right now my head just spins around countless things that sometimes make no sense at all!
Keep up the good work!
