30 days today!
Congrats on 30 days! I had no money, still pending unemployment money, utility shut off notices, I don't own a vehicle, not sure how to get bus fares, had to walk to meetings, and I wasn't happy either. Things can change. Days later, I am content.
The only constant is change. Give time Time.
Peace

instant: I don't know.... I am losing my wife-the woman of my dreams, my house, us as a family, my worst nightmare is coming true.
No question, being sober is a good thing but I fear that it's too late to save some of the most important things in my life...

But at least I stopped drinking in time to prevent even more, and worse, things from happening in my life. I can't go back and fix the mistakes I've already made, but I can sure work as hard as I can to make the future better than the past.
I feel for you, Schwaber. It may not seem like it right now, but things do get better, so long as you do your part to make that so.

Congrats! I know it is hard - I lost my wife during quit drinking time. I lost my gold Olympic medal long time ago due to other people action (that time I wasn't drinking as obvious). Sometimes you are not in control of the situation. Most of the time the only thing you can control is your own action. I think your 30 days is quite powerful self-control. Congrats once again!
I'm so proud of you. I really am. And you should be proud of yourself.
Perhaps another way to think of it. No one is responsible for our drinking but ourselves, but on the other hand, no one is responsible for how our loved ones react except themselves. You have proved yourself. While you are no doubt feeling great loss, you cannot beat yourself up about it. Nothing is as simple as it seems.
I hope your day is nice and you start to look forward to your new, sober life. Are you working right now? Stay busy.
I became depressed yesterday and really got anxious. Today I will avoid that by getting out of the house ASAP. You should too.
