Trying again
Hi back!
many of us have tried and failed at attempts in sobriety. I joined here a long time ago and now I have a year and seven months sober.
Never give up trying. Yes, many of us have relapsed, only to get progressively worse until we were back drinking like we'd never quit.
Use all the tools at your disposal. Whatever it takes.
You're certainly not alone.
Best to you.

Welcome back - I totally get how scary it is. I didn't think I could get sober and didn't want to set myself up for another failure. But I knew I could get through the next 5 minutes without a drink and that's what I focused on. I had to keep bringing myself back to the moment and stop thinking about all the other stuff in my head. Whatever worries I had were secondary to just getting through the day sober.
It gets better and it gets easier. You've already taken the first step - congratulations!:ghug3

My last drink lasted a week, my urine looked like cola, my house a disaster and my weed had run out with my money.
I surrendered, returned to AA with fear, found people who had 20+ years, been hanging with them. I got into action. 75 days later I have no desire to return to true hell.
Welcome back! (((hugs)))
