Lexapro, Also Known as Cipralex...
...here in Canada. Been on it for a year, and yes, I know I'm not supposed to drink on it, but when I don't, I go basically psychotic. I want to get off booze, obviously, but also off of this stuff. Permanently. My doctor has not only refused to wean me off of it, she's upped the dose.
Anyone have any experience with this horrible drug?

Can you see another doctor? One not so rigid in beliefs, perhaps? I'd fault your current doctor for upping the dose when/if she knows you want to be off it. What's the point of that? She's supposed to be working with you, not against you...
I tried lexapro but only in sobriety. It worked well for me for about a year then stopped working which has been the case with many of the medications I have taken.

I have been on Lexapro for the last 5 years and drank with it. Stopped drinking while still taking it but have been weaning myself from it. My experiences have been positive on Lexapro while drinking and not drinking.
