Can it work this fast?

I was always told it takes like 3 or 4 weeks for psych meds to work.
I have been taking mine a week and a half give a day or so. And I doubled the dose maybe 3 or 4 days ago as prescribed. The first week I was really irritable. But it seems when I doubled I have leveld out. Is it in my head? I feel normal. Or maybe I just have been too busy lately. Plus I have just accepted things I can not change too. Maybe a combination of all of it. Whatever it is I am just glad I am not a freakin basket case anymore. I really was coming undone there for a good month and a half. I dont thin k I ever fell apart like that for that long.
I actuallty finally feel stable for the first time in a long time. Its nice.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth. I'm glad you're feeling more stable and glad it's happening sooner than you expected.

Hmm well the calmness can feel a bit odd if the seas of life have been pretty stormy with substance use and neglect of ones physical , emotional and spiritual lives. Glad you are finding calmness and perhaps even serenity. It shocked me when I first began to feel it as I had not had much calm in decades...oh so this is what a lot of other people feel...cool I like it

Best of luck!

I was told it would take about a week for them to kick in, and that's pretty much what happened.

Anyway I'm glad they're working for you.
