Day 3 and things are getting better!
Yes, day three on this new, improved sober quest. And, I am actually feeling better! Hallelujah!
Actually slept a good bit last night, the feeling of agitation has subsided, heart is calming down, head is clearing...ah, the body without alcohol is a wondrous thing!
Be encouraged those who are at this same renewed place, first timers, etc. You can do this! You will feel better!
At the end of the day, being alcohol free is actually living...drinking unhealthily is actually dying...
Let's choose life!!!

Running, I am so glad that you have made it, to the point of 3 days that is to be commended. It is at this point that I had to start working on my mind. I would suggest that you have a support in recovery. It will help you string many more 24 hrs together along with your hard won 3. (())s the Lush
Good job! Isn't it funny? You joined SR in July 2010 and I hadn't even heard of it at the time. Now I am congratulating you on your 3 days while I have an amazing 26. This is a cyclical thing, isn't it? Even once we know. It just shows us the power of alcohol and our dependence on it. It doesn't go away, does it?
I'm not sure I believe in a time when one never wants to drink, but let's get through the next few days and stay here on SR.
