Hello Everyone

I am addicted to opiates and have been for 2 years now.
I have tried to quit cold turkey a few times but I never make
it through the withdrawals. But I have made up my mind
to get my life back somehow........

Starting a week ago, I cut myself down from 120mg oxy a day
to 30mg oxy a day. Yesterday I signed up on a website that matches
doctors to patients who want to try suboxone treatment. I hope to
hear something in the next couple days.

Other than these 2 small steps, I am basically lost but I really want
to quit and I have hope.....

Do you have the resources to consult a doctor in you area without waiting for a reply on the sub?

It's courageous that you are attempting to get sober on your own, but detox can be dangerous without medical supervision.

I found, nine months ago, that posting and reading here was very beneficial. I also go to NA and AA, which I am pretty sure saved my life.

I just got a reply from a sub doctor via the website I signed up on.
It is 9PM right now, so I will call the sub doctor in the morning.
