Happy 4th of July!
It's just another day kids! We can do it sober!
In my state I'm lucky enough to set off fireworks, I think I'll be doing lots of that, eating BBQ chicken with my in-laws, and fishing with my baby girl.
And to finish the night the sky will be filled with pretty fireworks, to light up my daughters eyes!!

There's a nice little shower coming down at the moment... the rain is cooling things off before the fireworks later this evening. We're going to a fireworks show and I'm really excited! We bought some sparklers also. Excited to be sober for this event...

There were many times in the past where the 4th of July meant a lot of alcohol consumption. I'm glad I'm over that!
(I also expect that I'll see a couple of new faces in AA meetings this week from folks who got plastered on the 4th, and have now decided to quit drinking).
