Hi everyone!
 

I just figured i'd introduce myself, My name is Henry, I've been battling a heroin addiction for about a year and a half now, and for the first time since I started using it, I feel serious about getting clean and about my recovery.

I posted over in the Methadonne/Buprenorphine board an hour or so ago, I've just recently started methadone and it really hasn't been working out well for me, and after some of the things i've read about it, i'm scared to continue.

I'm also thinking of maybe trying Suboxone.

Anyway, i'm not looking for any medical advice, I'm already in the processes of getting said advice from a doctor. What i am looking for, are experiences/anecdotes people have had with Methadone, Suboxone, and kicking a heroin habit in general. Thanks so much in advance.

Thanks! Although, i'm not sober yet, but i'm definitely working on it :)

Welcome Henry , I did everything but h , although lot of my friends did and also my mother used for many years :( and has been using methadone for about 2 years now.


Whatever you can do to get clean and stay clean from all that Sh## the better brother it all bad news. Just like a alcoholic like me i always will be, you also with that addiction.
