Talking I started playing chess last night...

And it was brilliant I'm staying with my dad for a few months until I go back to uni, and I'm now on day 10 of being sober and no hangovers. I love that I'm slowly managing to do all those things I planned to do "one day", and now that I'm not drunk all the time i can do them. i'm really pleased about the chess thing because my dad has always wanted someone to play chess with, and I'm happy that i can do this for him; his face lit up when I said I wanted a game of chess. Plus, it really is a fantastic game, looking forward to round 2 today!

I don't really know where I'm going with this rant ha ha, it's just that it felt so nice and normal to be doing that, especially since next door were having a party, and there were drunk people staggering around all over the street, and I wouldn't have switched places with them for anything

Anyway, congratulations if you made it to the bottom of this mad rambling

Awesome! Good reading there... So you found a new passion? I was drunk the last time I played And I have a particularly embarrassing drunk chess story that I will NOT tell. Yours was refreshing
