Part of my ritual for celebrating the 4th is catching old movie musicals

Happy 4th of July to all my wonderful American friends!

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

We go to rodeos over the 4th. I don't mind saying I'm a liberal, but the conservative patriotism at rodeos is a nice check in about once a year :).

This will be my first sober 4th in years. I'm a little anxious about it as the kids will definitely drink beer, and I will be the only adult not drinking. Well, my middle daughter (26) probably won't. But we'll have to watch the guys playing with fireworks...I'll watch the grandkids.

Have a great celebration, people! So proud of everyone for wanting a sober holiday - no hangovers, no forgetting what we said or did. What a concept. :)

My 4th of July will be a sober one. It hasn't always been that way.

This will be my second year being sober in 4th of July but not in 2009.

Zencat 07-02-2011 02:59 PM

Yes, here's to a safe and drug free celebration of our country's independence. Be free all ;)

Schwaber77 07-02-2011 03:56 PM

This will be my first sober 4th in almost 20 years. It'll be different but good. It'll be easier because I am staying home instead of going to see all of the family in ND which drinking is always part of the holiday.

God bless America!

Happy Birthday America! Hope everyone has a great holiday!

Happy Birthday America! Awesome country.

I usually drank on July 4th because ex never wanted to go anywhere and since moving we didn't know alot of people. So I had my own party.
Tonight in my town they are having their annual street dance. It's the biggest town party extravaganza of the year. It is permission to get sloshed. I, OTOH, worked all day...am ready for the sack and have to be outta here by 8am for work. So...yay for no hangovers! :nyc:nyaa:nyv:nyae:
