Thumbs up My first alcohol-free weekend in 10 years or more...

I made it and owe SO much of it to this forum.

I spent a lot of time reading and posting on this site. Being home I am glued to my computer - I'm a little afraid to leave it. I slept a lot this weekend. My house is still a mess and I didn't get any of my other chores done.

But I haven't had a drop of alcohol since Monday! That's productive enough right?

Thanks to all the people spilling their guts and wearing their fears and mistakes on their sleeves. And thanks to all the people who have gave me and others advice/input/support.

I could not have done it without you.

Good to see your getting some process done. Little steps will turn to big steps. Hang in there. I hope your getting your issues solve while being sober.

congratulations ETA

I spent a lot of time here in the early days too, for similar reasons - you'll find you can leave the PC eventually

Me too........ I spent my first days here unless I was eating or sleeping and the housework was still there when I got around to it days and days later. It's all good, ETA - congratulations on a sober weekend!

ETA - I agree....without this forum, I wouldn't have made it to today...the start of Day 4. Great people here and we all want the same thing.

I always come back...its a ritual now. The housework can wait -I found that it doesn't do itself! =(
I found that by making a priority list -either mentally or writing it down helped me to focus on what I needed to do and what I wanted to do. Eventually, it all gets done -don't sweat it. As long as you don't drink...
