I am pretty desperate at the moment though. Trying to stay reasoned, but keep having extreme, suicidal thoughts.

sobermax - You came here to reach out, and that means you have hope. Please don't give up on yourself - it is possible to have a whole new life. Many of us have stopped after a lifetime of drinking/using - and you can too. Keep talking.

Sobermax - I understand as I too am in hell. Up to 2 bottles of wine a day; either smashed or hungover. Life feels really bad - and so depressed and I have my son at the end of it. Failing on a systematic basis to string more then a few days together.
Have been lurking on here for ages but feel so ashamed of my weakness am not ready to start a thread yet. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your thread - I would never have had the courage to post if you hadnt started this. Thinking of you and hoping that both of us can find a way out of this hell.

Thank you so very much Almay777. So sorry to hear about your trouble, and grateful for your kind words. This is just so horrid. No end in sight just yet. Thank you also Dee for the links. I have checked them out - very useful. Am hallucinating I think - keep seeing and hearing stuff that shouldn't be there. Frightening.

I wish I had the quik'n'easy solution for you, and for you too Max - the only thing I can suggest is what worked for me - get as much support as you can & just be prepared to go to extraordinary lengths to change your life, because I know from experience that you really can

Sobermax and Almay - You are among friends who love you and share your pain. I was in the same state a few years ago, and I got out of hell. I know you can do it to. Please don't stop reaching out for help and strength. Prayers going up for you both from me today.
