18 months on Wednesday
So why am I posting it now? Cause I get excited and can't wait, like a kid.
I look back at the bad ol' days and wonder how in the hell I kept it together at all. It was like having an alcohol IV drip in my arm all the time. I was rarely completely sober, as I drank to wake up and drank to go to sleep.
I am so grateful to have this chance to make it right before the alcohol killed me or worse. And boy oh boy do I love waking up feeling good instead of feeling like I was going to die.
I take better care of myself and my beloved dogs, and we're both happier and healthier because of it. Living sober really rocks.
And, of course, my deepest gratitude for those with whom I've shared my sober journey. I love you guys! I am privileged to be part of the SR family.

LOL Hevyn! I hate when that happens.
Least, to say I am truly happy for you is an understatement. There is so much work involved in the quest of sobriety. People just don't realize.
You should be proud of yourself and post now...and I am so very proud of you for your accomplishment. Since I have come here I so admire the willpower of those of you that share insight and hope for others.
My dogs would wish you the best, as well...but they are busy eating the chicken strips that "accidently" fell on the floor!! Hehe

Best Wishes To You!
for 18 months and for going strong! You were one of the first ones to reach out to me when I started my journey on SR and you continue to be a testament to how life changing it is to wake up every day sober. I'm very grateful to you!
