Hey I'm a noob again ;) :(
Thank you all sooo very much. Spending lots of time at the hosp, so I wont be posting much for a while. The number of responses and the heart felt content of them all have truly lifted my spirits and given me strength to deal with this. I am most humbled!

I am so sorry to hear that. :-( I had to stop reading the replies because I started crying and I'm at work! This is very sad and I admire you for wanting to stay sober again throughout it-- I think you can do it. Good luck.
OK, she's now got 2-3 weeks. she'll be leaving the hosp for hospice Fri. or Sat. I can find nothing in AA or the Bible that helps. It's the support of family and friends that comfort me now.

Hey Ron,
I'm not the praying type, but I am thinking of you these days. This is a brutally difficult experience that you've been faced with, and I admire the grace and humanity you've met it with thus far.
Peace to you, to your wife, and to your family.

I have nothing 'smart' to say....just know I am here with support and wishing you the strength you will need to be strong for your wife and the forgiveness and wisdom you will need on your continued journey. (((HUG)))
So sorry for your sad news. Imagine how terrible it would be if you had spent the last 15 years with your wife drunk instead of sober. So forget about your slip. It was one day. We're all here for you.

Glad to see you getting right back into sobriety so you can be healthy and useful to your wife and family during this time.
Prayers to you and yours for the strength to go through this experience together.

Hang tough Ron, I know that I would be a mess if my wife received the news yours has. Science and medicine are wonderful, but alternative healing is equally impressive. Explore all of your options and know that all of us here hope and pray for you and your family members.
On dying. My apologies if it conflicts with your current religious practices or beliefs, however our 11th step is rather roomy.
I feel like I want to say something to help you Ron, but I know there is nothing that I can say. Just know that you are not alone. Your family is in my prayers. I went through every smilie and there is not one that I think is appropriate. Hang in there and let us know if we can help at all.
My wife passed away this morning. I sit here with a drink in my hand. I WILL get back to the program. I'm just too weak right now.
Ron
Please, this doe's not mean ther are times it's ok to drink. I have hit my breaking point is all

Ron, I am so very sorry. You and your wife have been in my thoughts and prayers so much this week.
Sending love and strength to you. You WILL get back. Just look after yourself. Treat yourself gently.
