Kind of proud of myself abit. Got into it with my boss today at work, he was giving me crap for HIS screwup, kind of trying to make his mistakes, MY mistakes. Man, was I ticked off! Drove by no less than 4 liquor stores on the way home, before, I would have picked up a bottle of vodka and pounded half of it within an hour of getting home... I just drove on by, backed away from the anger and realized that getting hammered would NOT make the problem go away, just numb me to it. When I go in tomorrow, I will have a calm and clear head, much better able to deal with issues. It's taken me literally years to learn/accept that alcohol solves nothing, it just numbs your senses one by one, then you pass out, then you wake up and surprise!!! ALL your problems that "made" you drink are still there :-)

Well done, that's one of my hardest things to do in sobriety

I get the most intense cravings when I'm pissed off lol

You're right, alcohol doesn't do anything and the problem is still there the next day (which you might have to deal with while hungover, screw that!)
