Hello, Im Jamie and Im an Addict............Today was 35 days I've been clean and for the first time in my life nobody made me get off drugs, I did it on my own. I had life threatening reasons but I am doing it after 10 years of getting high, I feel like a real human. I found jamie and I never thought it would be like this. Im happy when I wake up going to sleep feels good. I think Im babbleing but oh well. I went to a meeting last night than again tonight and I feel good. the best thing about going was nobody told me to I just wanted to and I dont feel so alone. Welcome to Soberrecovery. It's OK, you just posted in the forum where people are posting their recovery stories. You probably want to introduce yourself on the Newcomers forum which is the first forum on the top of the board. Don't worry, I am going to try to move your thread over there. Other than that, you're doing a great job. People don't usually look to this forum to reply but you will get plenty of hello's and welcomes over on the Newcomers Forum.

Hello All,
It's me Ladybug Im still clean going on 8 months!!!!! But I dont know how the hell to use this sight someone please help me????
I have been in a tratment center called Foothill and I'm learning so much about myself that i never knew and it's wonderful.
I did loose my children but I know I wll have them back if I stay clean. I'm being sentanced on May 18, 2004 I will probably do 280 days but im ok with it. I just want to get on with my new life. For the first time Im happy and I love myself. So I know I will learn to be a better parent and never put myself in danger or my children again. I thank he Narcodics Annonomous program and the teatment center im in for this happy life Im am finally living. Peace....Ladybug :tri

WOW!!! 8 months awesome!!! nice to hear from you ladybug, name's mike here also an addict. your attitude is great, keep it up and don't let the joint bring you down if that ends up being the result. I was just released from prison myself recently and I know how much negativity there can be there. Just steer clear of all the BS, do your time and get home to your kids, all the while keeping your mind on your recovery first, and you'll do just fine.
