No it's not what you might think! Recovery never ends but I am now officially graduated from court ordered addiction treatment! It feels great to have something substantial that signifies process in recovery like ending a two year treatment program and I had to share this with all of you because without you I might not have made it. You supported me during my times of panic and grief after the DUI arrest, you helped me through the tough intensive beginings of recovery and kept me on track. You all will never know just how much you helped me and how greatful I am for it! I have made so many great friends on here including the love of my life and I have so many great memories of meaningful and real dialog.
This last year I have experienced a stability and peace in life that I never thought possible. Things are far from perfect but at least now I am strong enough not to give up.
And i will say one last thing to all of you just starting out in recovery because it can never be said enough: it does get better! believe it!

Nice work and I've had two DUI's, so I know exactly what you mean.
Recovery is a "rest of your life" type of thing, but checking all the probation requirements off your list is awesome!

I'm so excited about serenity. I can see it just around the corner. Right past two bars on the right and a liquor store on the left. It's like a video game and I'm in a little red car with a license plate that reads SR. Go SR!

Adore! I always have you in the back of my mind when I sign on here. You DO sound wonderful - so different - so positive. I am so glad you're doing well, and thanks for letting us know. I hope you'll keep posting.
