It's been quite a while since that happened. I have to go keep myself busy. Here's to the next 12 hours guys.

Good for you Sunn! I remember taking it hour by hour the first couple of days. I stayed logged in to SR and read how other people got through it. Have you thought about any other kind of support? Maybe AA, Smart, a counselor?

Best Wishes To You!

Good for you!

The first couple of days were the longest I've ever gone through.

I'll be thinking about you as I go through my day, hoping that you are ok and not drinking.

Me too. I think you know in your heart this is the right thing to do. Congrats - enjoy your morning and stay strong for the rest of the day. Keep busy, go for a walk in the sun (hoping it's nice where you are!), write a letter to someone, read a book, continue to post on SR. I know it seems a long day ahead, but trust me, keep yourself moving, feed yourself healthily and the day will be past before you know it! Go see that doc if you feel rough. Proud of you.

if you haven't already you should google 'rational recovery's AVRT tool. It was very powerful to me.

Keep it up, Sunn! Think of how good it will feel to wake up without a hangover tomorrow morning.

We're cheering for you! Think about each hour you go through as another hour to heal your body and brain....... Get help with the physical detox if you need to.

The psychological stuff will get better too...... You can do it!

In just the short time you have been a member here at SR, I have become very found of you Sunn. You deserve to kick this addiction/malady/illness whatever you feel comfortable calling it. Stick close to those things that are helping you, like SR. I really pulling for you bro/brodett . Just do your very best and know that it will get you where you want to be in life, sooner or latter (I hoping sooner but any way you can do this thing is cool with me)... Be it one minute,... one hour,... one day at a time. hang on, it will come to pass...sober.

Keep Going, Sunn...remember the sun doesn't actually 'go down'. It revolves around the earth...regenerating strength to give us a new day...Go Sunn.

Where are you, Sunn? Been thinking about you and noticed you haven't visited in a while. Drop in and let me know how you are - either way, yeah? Good.
