Day 11 - Rehab

On my 2nd coffee of the day.

AA meeting at 10:00 am was great, big crowd....had to go into the city, to a church, for it.

Off now for medications, then back to my "drinking history" big assignment for Monday.

Another AA meeting at 7:30 pm this evening...and it is on-site, here at Homewood Health Centre, in the gymnasium, yay!

I'll check back in to SR later today, or Sunday afternoon.

Have a good day, everyone.

Kelly

I have so enjoyed following ur journey in rehab. It's
simply reminding me of where I was 20 yrs ago and
continues to be a big part of my recovery story that
I share to others that still suffer with addiction.

I remember when many would be picked up by drivers
to be taken to outside meetings and I couldnt go, so I
stayed behind being the "groups mom" cleaning up and
staightening up the tv room or kitchen and having fresh
popped popcorn for when they returned from their trip.

Finally it was time my time to go outide the hospital to
an AA meeting. I had feelings of nervousness and anxiety.
The lady that took me would soon become my sponsor.
As she drove on the interstate, everything to me looked
brand new. So clean, crisp, bright, colorful. Amazingly
beautiful. At the meetings she introduced me to the
many people she knew and I wanted the quality of sobriety
she had.

We played badmitten in the gymnastium with music and
swam in a pool they had outside. There was also a track
to walk or jog on. Exercise is good cause it helps sweat
out all those poisonious toxins in ur body. before you know
it your skin and hair looks fresh clean and shiney.

Have a good day as I cant wait to read ur next post.

Oh, and thank you so much for sharing your experiences
strengths and hopes here with us in SR. I appreciate it
very much.

then back to my "drinking history"
This can be a very important part of your Step 1. It will show you in Black and White the PROGRESSION of your drinking, in the form of a 'time line' and allow the 'acceptance' to the very core of your being of your affliction. Thus starting to build a very solid foundation for you to work the rest of your steps.

keep at it!!!!!

Love and hugs,

Enjoying your posts, KellyEurope. I'm on Day 11 too, but in the 'outside' world. It's weird to know we are at the same stage but that you are doing a LOT of education, research and soul searching, and for that, I am proud of you.
Keep going and posting! I read them every day.
