just wanted to say hello!

hello everyone, not sure if anyone remembers me, but I used to frequent this site when I first quit. I have not been on for long long time, but wanted to say hello to everyone. :tyou

I dont know how or why, but Im still sober. It was my first time quitting, and I made it 3 days, then a week, then a month, now its been a year and a half that I have not had a drop of alcohol. I am very proud, I never thought I could be so strong. I have been made fun of, lost friends, and had drunk girls try to physically put beer into my mouth. I made it through, maybe thanks to my stubbornness.

I continue to be grateful and think to the future, about what challenges I may face, and hope to continue to be successful.

Thank you and love you all!
If I can do it, anyone can, I promise!

Congrats!! Those lost friends were never friends (trying to force beer in your mouth). Keep trucking, staying sober, and making good choices. Awesome on your length of sobriety, thank you for sharing!!

When i first came to this site a year or so ago i pretty much focused on my story, but "this time" maybe due to some length of sober time i read everyday (morning and night) and i see a lot of the pain and the sucsess and i really feel for those still suffering, and am truly filled with goodness when i read sucsess stories, although while drinking i assumed no one cared at all if i lived or died and only thought the ones that did "make it" wernt like me.

im really glad you are doing great, and i hope your story helps other people like it helps me.
