Day 5!
I feel sort of silly announcing every day, but at this point, each day is a challenge. I didn't have to work today, so I watched T.V., went to the movies, cooked. And of course, more ice cream! The weather's been actually pretty crazy. We had snow yesterday! And right now it's hailing!
Physically, I already feel better. I've been sucking down 10 tums a day for a couple years, and today I had no heartburn! I guess alcohol really is tough on the digestive system.

in the beginnng each day is very important to reconize, for me day 7 was the tough one, or if i passed that it was the 14th day, stay strong even when things get less than ideal, if ive learned anything new this time its that the bad days do come and they pass.

Ice cream tastes better than tums. Congratulations on 5 days.
It's been raining here on the praire for a couple days -they said snow but haven't seen it yet. We had enough last Friday that's still melting! I really think that if Spring was here in full bloom we'd all feel awhole lot better.

You're only five days behind me and I think it's important to get on here. I try to be helpful a few times each day and, now that I've been at it so long I post when I have something interesting to say.
But you should keep posting. Everyone here understands the importance of the daily count.

Hi Johnc...No reason to feel silly. I counted everyday the first month or so. You should be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you for hanging in there and starting your recovery. I know how hard it is to get to day one!!
