Aw shucks, thanks Anna! And thanks everyone for your support
Yes, today I am one year sober (and clean)!
I wanted to post in newcomers today to link my story, which is here, and also because I want you to know that if I can do this, you can do this.
To those of you starting out, please know you can do it!

I bought a book of personal stories of addiction yesterday, recently published in Ireland, called 'You are not alone'. Thats how I feel now, not alone, especially as I don't feel ready to admit my addiction to friends or family yet.Being able to speak honestly here means so much to me. Thanks to all of you.
I wish you a big congrats American Girl! You know, I find this soooo very cool, for sometimes I find it quite depressing when I hear of others when they're quickly falling off the wagon and struggling with their difficult times, but yet, it's soooo very refreshing and wonderful when I hear of someone making it a year and feeling great about it. It just proves to everyone that it can be done. Great job, AG!
Good work American Girl, and a wonderful post. Some here call me "American Boy", don't know who did the song, but its popular here. I sometimes feel like telling them "if you see a boy, tell his Mama", anyway, hope to be as much an inspiration as you are!
Thank you.
Thank you.
