Hi Jess. All I thought about reading your post was the scene from Mr. Mom when the dad was dropping off the kids at school and the crossing guard kept saying 'YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG"... lol...

The good news is, you're NOT doing it wrong - you're doing just fine. I find that when I post honest feelings and genuine questions I get very solid help. Also, I get to see newcomers come in posting the same fears / problems that I had early on and you get to see how incredibly common this problem is.

I remember when I was trying to quit drinking I seemed to be the only person in the world with this problem. I have since found many many people here that are a lot like me. Moreover, the one's that are like me can share how they are able to maintain sobriety on a daily basis. Just really cool stuff.

I hope you stick around. If you want to stop drinking, this is a great place to spend your time!

thanx

thank you all for...well just being hereI now realize i should have done this years ago...but shoulda woulda couldav's were a major part of relapse for me so i won't even go there this time around....i look foward to learning about you guys as well as myself during this process...and as for not doing it right i am the queen of this...and i love mr. mom lol he kicked booty and didn't give into temptations....we could all learn something even from a silly 80's movie...a book...or a show(except intervention...i found myself "getting high" or "drunk" without actually doing it...just watching it took me to a dark place...pretty sick hu? i had to stop watching it...because i wasn't using it for what it was meant for....to help....then again...i AM an addict...and that is a totally addict move i guess....
