what to do....
Thanks to all who have posted here. my alcoholic wife has created such fear of my future im not sure where to turn. my first alanon meeting was helpful. my young children are by and large fine i think. if another relapse occurs i promised her she was out. now im left with having to follow through, very scary, very sad. i know the kids welfare is the priority. doesnt seem like being right is any solace right now. its been 28 mos of detoxs, rehabs, 100s of hidden empty vodka bottles, drunk driving, and on and and on.
looking forward to the communitys insight. thx.

I'm so sorry to hear your story, homealone1. I suggest you visit the Family and Friends section of the forums page. You'll find plenty of support from other struggling friends, family, spouses of alcoholics and addicts.
Good luck and remember to take care of yourself!

Welcome, homealone - prayers for you and your family...... I can only imagine how hard it is right now for you to see this as a positive step, but it sounds like you have done what you can and are making the best decision possible.
I hope you can get the support you need to get through this.
