Looks like you're right to not identify yourself as an alcoholic or to "have" alcoholism. Lots of ppl who are over-the-top heavy drinkers, folks who exhibit all the physical qualities of alcohol addiction, are perfectly able to stop or moderate by making some adjustments to their life.

If what you're doing is working......and your life is better as a result......and you can keep it up till your last days on this earth...... by all means, keep doing it.

I don't drink, because I don't like what it does to me. I am just a human "bean". Alcohol affects me different that others that can enjoy it so I find something else to do besides drink. At least personally, when I got so wrapped up in program, recovery, etc., I found I was still concentrating on the problem. The solution for me was to concentrate on other things and live life.
