Some people in my town have been looking forward to a Kenny Chesney concert for weeks. I love Kenny -would be awesome to see him in person (sober).
According to Facebook friends...people passed out and missed Billy Currington and Kracker.
What a waste...after having a sober heart and soul I can't imagine missing any of my life anymore. Shame...!

I've been to so many concerts drunk and/or stoned, I barely remember who I went to see. And I've been to a couple of concerts that the performers were so drunk, I felt like I was cheated on the ticket price.
Enjoying just quietly being me...sober.

I agree, Emerald - seeing it from the sober side of things the "fun" of drinking sure looks different now........
Right after I got sober, I heard about a kid that was on vacation and while partying, he fell of a balcony and died. He was just trying to have a good time.......
I'm glad we've decided to be present and live our lives again.

I passed out at the last KC concert I went to. We saw him at a pavillion and had grass seats. Before he ever came on stage I was to the point I was crawling up the hill and over people to get to my wife. Too drunk to stand.
I don't miss that at all.

Forward we go...side by side-Rest In Peace

I once passed out face first in my plate during a very fancy
formal sit down dinner. Thankfully....it was not the soup course.
Yes...sober is better in all the ways I can think of.......:

The last few times I went out to dinner before I quit drinking, I had drank 3 glasses or so of wine before going, and I couldn't taste the food. What a waste of great food!! I am SO glad I don't drink anymore!!

I went to a concert sober for the first time in ages recently and it was GREAT. I was so happy that I was actually able to enjoy it without having to miss any of it to get more drinks or take a bathroom break. Actually, I saw this guy hanging around by the front of the stage about 1/2 hour before they went on - he was so drunk that he was literally falling on the floor. I just stood there thinking "I'm so glad that's not me..."
LOL I hate to laugh but its funny how much time money and energy we put into being drunk and having nothing to show for it.
I only ever went to one concert when I was about 17. OZZY Ozbourne! LOL
The guy I went with HAD to find something of them to remember them by so I lost him somewhere and ended up in some van not knowing who these people were (except they were from my town) and if I'd make it home -alive.
I'm so glad that if I ever decided to go to another concert...it would be sober. I don't have any punches left on my fun card.
