In my experience, staying sober for someone else didn't work.
And unless you absolutely can't pull it off-say you're living in Antarctica or something like that-there is absolutely no substitute for FTF support.
What are you going to do differently this time?
Welcome back!
I am so glad that you want to live. I had a hard time caring about myself at the end of my drinking days but I did know that I wanted to live. I just wasn't quite sure how to go about it. I do believe that you will have to want to do this for yourself and not for other people, but knowing that you have the support of your family will help you a lot.

Welcome back. I had a recent relapse too. The support here is awesome! Getting sober is easy, staying sober requires work, but work that is so well worth it. I had to learn that I can never drink again, it's very scary to realize and to know that one drink can turn into day, weeks and months. As long as we don't take that one we never have to go through that again. I feel better every day, and I wish the same for you. Good luck, keep reading and posting. We are here for you.
