I took my last dose of Oxycodone 15.5 hrs ago and need some encouragement! I have been tapering from Oxycontin for years and was down to two 5mg tablets and decided to stop cold turkey. I was constantly in w/d's anyhow. I have suffered from chronic pain for years but noticed that my tolerance was going up.

At this point, I do not want to be on anything anymore. Doc suggested Suboxone although he did not make me switch.

I still have the meds in the kitchen and could continue taking them but made the choice to go cold turkey today! I am mostly fearful for what is to come and I seem to be making it so far. Any encouragement would be greatly appreciated.

I'm glad you talked to your dr about your decision.

If you have been cutting down, hopefully the withdrawals won't be too bad.

Stay close to SR and feel free to post about what you're going through.
