Surprised at what's out there

I had an appointment with addiction services at the community health centre - it was an intake so I expected to answer a questionnaire, be put on a waiting list and maybe get some contact numbers. As it turns out, they offer all kinds of stuff. Free yoga and tai chi classes, free acupuncture, and all kinds of classes on managing recovery. Oh yeah, and I won't have to wait all that long to see someone one on one.
I also got some info on PAWS and the SMART workbook, because I had expressed interest in checking it out. I'm just really surprised - I had no idea all this stuff was available. Really positive experience!

Hells bells - I didn't know we had it here! I guess it's because I live in a major city - this kind of thing isn't available everywhere.

No one has to do recovery alone, unless they choose to.

Good stuff!
