My First Sober Weekend in over 15 years :)
This is excellent... I spent my first sober weekend in over 15 years without a drop of alcohol. I feel excellent right now am so happy I made it through a tough 8 days now. Just wanted to share my enthusiasm.
Thanks to this site and the many people I've corresponded with on here, I made it through a difficult time.

Great job, Elmer! I remember getting through that first weekend. What a feeling of accomplishment! It was such a high that I wanted to keep that feeling going, and I've been able to for nearly a year now. Who knew that recovery could be a better drug than alcohol? I never would've guessed it, but now I'm living proof.

I hope you have an awesome Week 2!

That's a major hurdle - way to go! I remember how nice it was to spend those first few weekends among the living for a change!
