Meditation can work wonders.

So awhile ago I was struggling with the whole spirituality thing. Like alot of people do. So I can identify with the teachings of Buddha more than anything I have seen before then.
Although I do not consider myself a Buddhist. I do believe in alot of the teachings. Especially meditating.
My mind goes a million miles an hour sometimes. I second guess myself. Just cant figure out where all this thinking and feeling is coming from. Or why I do things that I do.
So i have to stop and gather my thoughts by going somewhere quiet and just pondering these things. I have to look at the intention, the motives and the outcome of it all.
Its helped me get alot of insight into my own self.
When I feel like I am about to come undone. I go think. And its not even thinking. Its just being aware of what your doing and thinking and then finding the source of it all.
Very enlightening.
Just wanted to share what works for me when I feel like I am a mental and emotional wreck.

Thanks for the reminder...I need to be better about my own practice.

A friend with 15 years so er from alcohol and drugs meditates daily...he swears by it!

You and I both, LaFemme. I have really slacked in the past few weeks on my practice. I have been so immersed in curing my sickness, I have forgotten to take my medicine. My yoga practice has slipped as well. Sometimes these posts are great alarm clocks.
