Dee I must admit I'm envious...if only on a day that I am down and out do I wish I could think of all the wonderful people out there that truly love me! You've been a blessing in so many our lives. Enjoy your rest, it's something we ALL need to remember to do for ourselves.

I'm sorry for the suddenness of my leaving, guys.

Even after 4 years, old habits die hard - I still have a tendency to push myself to the wall.

I have a lot going on in my real life and with my family, and I was working long hours here - there was simply not enough Dee to go round.

Sorry if I sounded melodramatic too - that wasn't my intention - I'm really not a drama llama LOL.
I really did feel then like it might be a while until I got back here.

But your messages of support and love have really floored me, and humbled me.
I don;t know what else to say about that.

I thank you all very much for them - they've meant more to me than you'll ever know

I do need a break - but I will be back....at a reduced pace, I think - but I'll be back

Oh and my recovery is just fine - life can still throw me some hair pin turns, but I've not even thought of drinking...I could murder some KFC...but that's another story

Well Dee I guess my post is going to sound so different than all the other ones. When we first met I thought you were an arrogant SOB, but after figuring out my side of the street we worked it all out. Its people like you that make a difference in my recovery cause you teach me how to handle conflict in a grown up fashion. After being on some of the same threads with you for the last few months I have grown to respect you. Your dedication to service is something we can all learn from. Hurry back dude

Hey Dee, by demonstrating good boundaries and taking care of yourself you are giving us all another positive lesson

It seemed like you were (almost) always online, which was wonderful for us, and I'm sure draining for you.

It's only fitting that a thread in tribute to Dee would bring out so much of the very best in the SR community. I just read this whole thing and it leaves me feeling so good about this place. Dee you helped build a virtual home to so many throughout the world who need a place where the porch light is always on and the door is always open.

Take care of yourself now, we'll do our best to hold SR up to the standards you set.
