Tired
I really want and for that matter need to stop drinking. Just not really sure where to start. I am tired of waking up feeling sick and degraded. Any one else ever feel degraded or stupid after a night of drinking? Honestly though, I really need some help. Thanks

Welcome to SR cgl! I think you'll find more than a few people here who have felt degraded or stupid after a night of drinking. I know I have on about a thousand occasions. Lots of great people here...please keep posting.
Welcome cgl! I'm new here, too, and I'll bet all 75,000+ SR members have felt "degraded or stupid" at one time or another, so you're far from being alone here. As coop said, keep posting, for you'll find lots of helpful people willing to help. Just know we're all in this together, and there is help to be found here and elsewhere. First and foremost, you've made a huge step by coming here, but the important thing is to know that you really want to quit drinking.
Most of us have. I am only on day 2 after some really rough drinking......I took the time off, hunkered down with lots of water and juices and rode it out. The first step is the hardest, you can do this if you really are as tired as I was. Good luck and keep posting.
Sick and tired of being sick and tired is the place many of us were standing when we decided to step into recovery. Welcome.
You didn't share your drinking history, and you don't have to. But depending on the severity of your alcohol consumption, give some thought to detoxing under medical supervision.

Yes I think most of us felt that way - you're in good company.
Doggone's suggestion of seeing a Dr is as good a place to start as any I think...that,
and keep posting here
