23 days and counting...
 

I've been drinking since I was about 15 on and off for the past like 30 years. Yikes. Scary when ya think about it...Husband and I separated in August and I got a job but screwed it up because of drinking...dumb -really dumb, I know. But that was the sickness. I hold no regrets or shame to bring myself down.
I'm taking some time to get my head together, started a 6 week recovery program and am staying out of the liquor stores and spending more time home alone...started drawing today. It's been a looong time. It's a miracle how much more concentration, steadiness and patience you have sober!
I never thought about a site like this -just happen to fall upon it somehow but I'm a firm believer in things happening for a reason. There are no coincidences.
This is just awesome...I've met more nice people thru my recovery in the past 23 days than the past 5 years of moving to this state.
I'm looking forward to my stay here...
