Hello All!
My story is quite strange and dysfunctional, but I may as well tell the truth.
I'm 26 and I'm living with my dad. I suffer from agrophobia and anxiety, and get incapacity benefit as I live in the UK. I also drink up to 6 litres of cider a day. My dad is a heavy smoker, up to two packets a day, I don't know how much that is. I get a lot more from benefits than him, he is on job seekers allowance, the unemployment benefit in the uk.
But he is the one who goes out and gets the alcohol and tobacco, which I feel guilty about. Although he does really nag me and is critical of everthing I do, and I never feel comfortable in the home except for when he's out. I'm not sure if I can give up drinking if I am still living with him.
Anyway I really like this site and the wise advise from a lot of people.

Hey man.
I'm 25 and from the UK. How's it going lad?
Here's my thoughts and It might hurt but I'm going to be honest...
It seems like you have resentment toward your Dad. Though I can imagine a negative father will make things hard (been, and am there) there's no justifable way to blame him for where you are, despite the obvious loving duty you have towards him. Realise that you are your own person and your needs come equal to his.
Perhaps look to move out in the future? Even with your disablities you could get a casual bar/warehouse job to pay the rent?
Take care bro.
