Ha ha, hmm. I have an idea of who you're talking about, although we don't all see the same shade of blue in the sky at the same time, I guess. If it's the same one that I'm thinking of, she does have a celebrity look to her.

Have you looked for the profile and asked her how she is doing?

Do you want to quit drinking? I'm not sure what you meant by that 4pm thing, but I imagine it has to do with being locked in a routine of drinking. I can remember times I didn't want to leave work or for vacation days to come. I used to think it was because I didn't "have a life" and didn't know how to get one; now I understand it was because I knew what was waiting for me when I got there. (More drinking.)

My first sponsor told me he didn't care if I went to AA meetings to look at the girls, as long as I came. So if a beautiful woman keeps you hanging around, more power to you.

But I loved this line:

Alcohol does eventually betray us completely. But like a battered spouse, we hang around and take the beatings, because we don't really know what else to do.

The only question is, how long will you take the beatings?

I know what you mean - those moments got more and more until they became the norm for me....and that really is a lonely place to be, Nightwolf - I don't recommend you go there.
