I wish you luck and more than luck...willingness!

We have to be willing to go to any lenths to get and stay sober.

Happy for you!

jerseytomato and Mr.Ray

Hope both of you have a smooth de tox and please
don't hesitate getting medical assistance.

It's really risky to do de tox alone.
You simply don't know what will happen this time
even if the last one was no big deal.

Be both safe and sober...

Hi MrRay! Glad to know someone is right here with me. Day 1 is almost over and it could have been much worse. I am in bed right now sweating with muscle pains and generally feeling uncomfortable but soo happy that I made it through the day without a drink to make me feel better (only for the time being of course). I am hoping that I can get a decent night sleep tonight and maybe start tomorrow feeling a little bit better.

I wanted to thank everyone at SR for their wonderful support so far. I have a feeling that coming here will be the difference in succeeding with my sobriety. It already feels different this time...like I mentally separated myself from the drink. Before I always had in the back of my head that I would drink again sometime. This time I have told myself that it is it. I know that doesn't mean I won't get cravings but I don't have to give in to them.

a good rest makes a world of difference in getting through your initial cravings. SR is always here and someone always answers day and night.

try to pick up some chamomile tea to drink in the evening if you have trouble sleeping.

let us know how you are doing in the AM,( i love to read the grats with my coffee).
