Celebrate Recovery

I've been sober 12 days. I have gone to 3 AA meetings and have found them to be really helpful in my sobriety. My counselor said that because I am a Christian that I should also try Celebrate Recovery meetings.

Has anybody gone to or currently attend these meetings?

I go to church every week and volunteer with them as well. But, Celebrate Recovery was NOT for me. My church is a relatively conservative Methodist service. When I got to Celebrate Recovery, they had a band singing religious songs, etc. and I felt very uncomfortable. Give it a shot and see if you like it. I made it 15 minutes before I had to get out of there.

Congratulations on your sober progress....

A couple of my AA home group members do use both ..I've never been.
According to them...there is less cussing......they meet in a church.
Our 2 AA groups do not.

Here is their home site....if you are interested...

Celebrate Recovery

Wishing you all the best ..
