Congrats on day 2 cj! It sure feels good waking up without a hangover, doesn't it. I'm glad you found SR, it is a good place.

There it is. What now?

Keep on doing what you're doing now, one day at a time.

Welcome cj2011 - Congratulations on your decision to have a better life. SR helped me get up the courage to quit after a lifetime of numbing myself. It was wonderful to not feel alone anymore. I didn't have the upbeat attitude you have - I was very bitter and resentful. So - I think you'll make out just fine.

Welcome CJ and glad you are with us. So good to see your positive decision here.

SR was invaluable to me when I first got sober and has become one of my tools in recovery. So many folks who understand and loads of support and useful info.

There are many support options out there so take a read through the threads and stickies.

Glad you're feeling positive today - if you're like me, it will continue to get better and better. I started to realize that there were a lot more negatives to drinking than I had originally thought. It's nice to have myself back and think clearly these days.

Keep reading and posting - it helps immensely!
I will for sure! Not only is it nice to have a clear head, but pretty cool to be sitting at the computer not surrounded by fast food leftovers.

Yes it does. It was a great day...none of it would be possible with a pounding headache and a numb body.
