Got my 90 days last week!
Congrats!...for you and maybe a little bit for me as well, since I just passed 90 days (again) too. Feels great..forgetting what that d4mned liquor store looks like...hangovers no longer a constant companion...let's keep going!
Thank you so much everyone...Hello to the new people, and hello to my old friends! This time around is a lot different for me. I am in outpatient therapy and I found a really great private therapist. I also attend AA meetings as much as possible. With this combo it really makes a huge difference because I am actually HAPPY being sober and it doesn't feel like torture. It takes a lot more work than not picking up a drink. It's hard to take an inventory of yourself and face your feelings and problems, but once you start doing it, you will be on the road to a wonderful recovery, because there are underlying reasons to why we drink. The sooner we figure out how to deal with and get through them with new coping skills we learn in therapy and AA, the better.
