I'm a Falcons fan, so I've got no real interest in the outcome of the game, but I guess it's also my first sober Super Bowl since about 1997. In 2002 I quit drinking on New Year's Day, but started again when the Super Bowl came around about a month later.
I know some people worry about how they'll be able to do certain things like watching the Super Bowl without drinking, or throwing a huge party, or getting wasted at some bar, but I actually think this is my favorite one ever. My girl and I are both chilling at the apartment, wearing pajamas and laying on the couches with our cats, eating pizza and watching football. And there's nowhere I'd rather be.
Well, maybe I'd rather be at the Super Bowl, but this is a close second.
