Forget it i'm doing this myself...i thought i had a fallback to go into and theres none in my area....i dumped all the wine down the drain told my mother in law to take the beer and i can't get any alcohol after one a.m. in my state...i'm going to contact a dual diagnosis psychiatrist(already got the #) tomorrow and just quit...i know once you're an alcoholic you always are....but is there a physical time that the withdraawls go away...if so i know it's probably diffrent for everyone...a few examples maybe?

You are correct...de toxing from alcohol is not the same for everyone

The Salvation Army runs free short term de tox facilities in many areas.
Perhaps you could check that out?

I know..and i will if needed...if thier was a detoxx center in my area i'd be there....i'm damn strong willed when i make up my mind...lost 90lbs in 3 1/2 months...well i've made up my mind.

this is a database of substance abuse facilities throughout the US...click your state - enter your location and you should fins lots of hits with some breif information about what each facility does, who they cater for, and pricing.

I cannot stress enough the idea that detox at home can sometimes be dangerous.
If it is your only option - please make sure you're in contact with other people, and you have the contact details for the ER handy.

Please go to an ER if you are concerned. Detoxing from alcohol can be dangerous, but I'm sure you know this.
And, yes the physical withdrawals vary from person to person so you can't be sure what to expect.

Dee thanks for the link....nothing in my area that i havn't already tried.....i did get aabout 10 diffrent phone #'s from the people i've talked to out of my area all dead ends.....actually haad a guy in cleveland tell me to moderate drinking til monday...you know how enticing that is to an addict f***!!!
